House Hunting Season!
This month, students are house hunting in earnest and signing tenancy agreements for next year. The Advice Centre offers free sessions to explain your contract in detail. A tenancy agreement is a legally- binding contract, you need to understand your rights and responsibilities before committing yourself. Top Tips for House Hunting: 1. Hunt around. Do not agree to to the first property you see. 2. Do not rent a house without having the full amounts of tenants- you might not be able to fill those rooms! 3. Talk to the existing tenants- they will be more likely to tell of any bad points. 4. GET YOUR CONTRACT EXPLAINED BY AN ADVISER! See our housing page for factsheets
