The fact that you are reading this page means that you have heard that your union is starting the process of the 2010 elections.

This annual process involved students electing student officers, student trustees, student council members and NUS delegates from the current student body.

If you are interested only in running for one of the NUS delegate positions, click here. If not, read on!

Also, before you read on, there are some basic requirements that you must be able to commit to, to run in the elections, so please check these first.

The nomination process starts on the 1st February 2010 and ends on the 19th Feb at 1300. This is followed by a week of campaigning and then a week of voting, culminating on the 5th March, when the results of the election will be announced at a results party in Morals Bar.

We hope you will be interested in running in the elections, as it represents a unique opportunity to truly make a difference to not only your own student experience but those of others. If so, you will need to start thinking about writing your manifesto and planning your campaign.

If you are elected to a post within the Union, you will be receive a comprehensive support and development package.

If you’re not interested in running for one of these positions this year, as a member of the Students’ Union and a Brookes Student it is really important that you exercise your right to vote. Four days of voting will take place between Monday 1st and Thursday 4th March.

All the important dates can be found summarised in our timetable.
