120 Lawyers, dressed in their finest descended upon the living room to enjoy the revived annual ball.
The Ball was a fantastic success. It was the culmination of a lot of planning and a lot of work on the part of all the committee. Myslef and the social secretaries started looking for a venue back in September, and boy did we find a gem in the living room. The restaurant was dominated by a sea of Brookes lawyers and thier guests who sat down to a fine 3 course meal washed down with plentiful amounts of vino. The party of corse continued well into the night as our geusts entered the VIP bar; complete with a towering 3.5 ft Christmas Tree Ice Luge; with vodka and schnaps floowing freely for a large proportion of the evening. Thank you to all of you who came, and appologies to those of you who couldn't get tickets; it certainly was a fantastic night.

A few thank you's;
Kayleigh and Izzy - our Vice Presidents and Social Sec's. These girls put in a sterling amount of effort in organising music for the evening, working the door and keeping the crowd generally entertained. They were also instrumental in sorting out the venue.
Suzi - Suzi I spent the later part of her evening negotiating with bouncers, taxi drivers and quite possibly the local constabulary in order to get a lot of you home safe and sound. Thank you so much for this; greatly appreciated.
George and The Gents - Now experts at setting up ice luge's and blowing up balloons. Also as a warning to you all Ice weighs a bloody ton - and it doesn't like going over speed humps!!!!!!!
Hursh - Our treasurer. Hursh allows me to spend the money. Thank so mush for saying yes. Without his backing the night could never have gone ahead.
The SU - Specifically Jon, Lucie, the reception team and the guys in finance. These people have had to put up with a barrage of email from myself over the last 4 weeks to get everything sorted out. Cheques for fast amounts of money had to be approved and signed off and ticekts had to be sold and counted. Cheers guys!
Mr Marc Howe - A guest of honour. Despite teaching Tort only an hour previous he made it. Dapper as ever. Lord Howe.... it was an honour.
We hope this can be the first of many big events. But we need the students supprt. Hopefully word should spread about the good work the committee do for its members; Get involved, keep your society at the pinacle of entertainment.
